Ready to lead an innovative team and make a real impact? We're seeking a high-energy Engineering Manager to guide our growing Delivery Team. As a player/coach, you'll mentor talented Engineers while staying hands-on.

Your mission: design and refine front-end website experiments (A/B tests) that boost conversion rates for various clients. You'll transform landing pages and redesign websites to create engaging user experiences and be a trusted advisor to our Account Growth teams;  solving technical challenges and consulting on sales for current and prospective clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of engineers ensuring the successful completion and management of client engagements and commitments. Typically, these are A/B tests, website redesigns, or experiment iterations. 
  • Build a high performance engineering team through all the traditional things like hiring, and development. You will be instrumental in coaching and mentoring your team members. 
  • Partner closely with our Account Teams on client requirements to ensure we have alignment on client needs, expectations, and commitments.  
  • Set the team and company  up to grow with engineering processes and systems that scaleEngage as a technical consultant, providing expertise and insights, on internal and client-facing meetings. 
  • Keep your technical skills sharp completing some of your work technical billable work , developing  efficient and robust experimentation code using HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript which is injected on top of existing client sites via experimentation software such as Optimizely, Convert, and VWO when needed.
  •  Architect technical solutions for our clients who have more complex needs (such as integrations, and code-level analytics implementation for example) and assist your team with implementation.
  • Stay on top of new technologies to improve the effectiveness of the team, profitability of the business and results of our clients.

What You’ll Need:

While no specific experimentation experience is required (we can train you!), you must have experience learning technical concepts quickly, and regularly, and be capable of training or guiding team members to help them be proficient while communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • 3+ years of experience writing HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript in a professional environment.
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience (i.e. you were responsible for hiring, performance reviews, promotions, handling terminations)
  • Critical thinking—you can analyze a problem, craft a solution, and love iterating on your own processes. Every experiment is unique and has a different set of challenges so we often find ourselves in uncharted waters.
  • Attention to detail—you have high attention to visual detail, can interpret specifications, can communicate detailed instructions, and leave no edge case unattended.
  • Experience successfully developing solutions to novel problems with the ability to clearly articulate and gain buy-in for such solutions from both client and internal stakeholders.
  • An expert collaborator and effective communicator. 
  • Experience with A/B/n tests or with leading testing platforms such as Optimizely, Convert, VWO, etc. is a plus.
  • Agency experience is a plus.

Compensation: $100k and up + benefits
